Ascension FL - Internship Program
Ascension is proud to offer a clinical healthcare Internship. This internship is a comprehensive program designed to provide those with an interest in healthcare a hands-on experience and professional experience in a real-world healthcare setting. This internship is ideal for transitioning service members interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. Candidates will have the opportunity to enhance their clinical skills, gain practical knowledge, and build a foundational experience for a successful healthcare career.
Interns will work alongside experienced clinical staff, participating in patient care and gaining firsthand experience in various clinical environments. Through guided practice and mentorship, interns will develop critical skills, including patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care. Assist in providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring patient comfort. Accurately document patient information, care provided, and observations in medical records. Work collaboratively with healthcare teams, including doctors, nurses, and support staff, to deliver high-quality patient care. Gain valuable clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preparing you for future employment in healthcare. Receive guidance and support from experienced nursing professionals, helping you navigate the early stages of your nursing career. Build connections with healthcare professionals and peers, expanding your professional network within the nursing community.

Two prior military evaluations, good military standing/honorable discharge, up to date vaccination record, copy of current license/certifications, pass a background check and drug screening
