ARNE Aviation is an Air Mobility Command approved aviation company providing aircraft support to both DOD and civilian customers. As a company of veterans, we are interested in helping transitioning members gain entry into the civilian aviation industry by providing training and experience to all military aviation maintenance personnel. Veteran owned and operated, ARNE Aviation owns and operates six turboprop aircraft (2x Shorts SD-3-30 Sherpa's, 1x Shorts SC-7 Skyvan, 2x Cessna C-208B Super Caravans, and 1x PAC 750-XL). You will gain a breadth of experience working on different aircraft while being exposed to the civil aviation industry.
We at ARNE Aviation do not give the A&P certification, formal classroom training, nor do we have housing or meal service. What we do provide is up to six months of the experience required to meet the 30 month requirement for both airframes and powerplants work history to apply to the FAA for an A&P testing authorization. For example, a Service member who only has records of maintaining power plants will need to show airframe work experience to apply at the FAA District Office (FSDO) to take the A&P tests. We will provide the experience needed to round out your qualifications and provide documentation. We can also assist with the paperwork required by the FAA to apply for the A&P testing and help set up the required interview in the FAA office in Richmond, Virginia.
