Operation Next is an accelerated, competency-based training program featuring an accelerated, hybrid curriculum that combines virtual learning online through simulations and multimedia and hands-on performance-based learning on real world manufacturing equipment. Individuals completing the program are prepared to earn nationally portable industry recognized credentials for some of the most in-demand manufacturing careers: CNC Operator or Industrial Maintenance completers can earn a credential(s) from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS); Welding training program completers can earn a credential from the American Welding Society; and Robotics Technician training completers can earn a credential(s) from the Smart Automation Certification Alliance (SACA).
Operation Next offers participants the option to select from four different training programs each leading to a national credential and preparing the individual for one of the most in-demand jobs in advanced manufacturing. They are: CNC Operator, Industrial Technology Maintenance, Welder, and Robotics Technician.
Open to all MOS / ratings / AFSCs.
