Training covers the basics of carpentry and trades math, including accurate reading and use of tape measure, and safe use of hand and power tools. Using skills learned in class, participants measured and cut openings for sheetrock penetrations, cut blocks using a Skillsaw, and built a foot stool and set of stairs to a platform. Construction site education, safety, and carpenter expectations also covered.
Observing your surroundings, it becomes evident that Carpenters play a pivotal role in the construction of every edifice in sight. Tasked with translating an Architect’s intricate blueprints into tangible structures, Carpenters adeptly maneuver through a variety of materials including wood, metal, plastics, and other engineered substances within dynamic work environments. From the initial excavation to the final installation, Carpenters engage in every phase of the construction process, steadfastly committed to delivering a superior product within specified timelines and budgetary constraints.
