BMC2 Simulator Operator

The Simulator Operator will perform the role of Red/Blue air assets. They will use current TTPs, communications, and will make decisions based on the air picture provided by IQT/MQT/CT crew members. The actions, responses, and communications must be IAW ALSSA Publication and be clear and concise. The Simulator Operator sets the foundation for Command and Control professionals to build upon.

Essential Job Functions• Assist in the development and execution of an academic training schedule for academic simulator sessions, and training device events. The training schedule shall be delivered IAW LOP (Local Operating Procedures). • Perform Simulator Operator duties as required by the applicable syllabi and/or training plans.• Ensure students properly use equipment. • Report equipment problems IAW LOP.• Provide remedial student simulator training in accordance with the appropriate syllabus or training plan. Remediation shall be scheduled IAW LOP. • When required, perform as Subject Matter Experts (SME) for courseware development. • Operate simulator equipment (e.g.: Sculpt, BC3, NGTS/Battle Monitor). The following qualifications are desired personnel employed as Simulator Operators: 1) At least five years of practical experience operating BC3 related mission simulations, or three years’ experience as an ABM, Weapons Director or military fighter pilot. working with Distributed Mission Operations scheduling and setup of simulation equipment for exercises/training.2) Three years’ practical BMC2 experience as: USAF ABM, 1C5/1C5D, 1A3/1A4/1A4D.3) Awarded Basic Mission Capable or Combat Mission Ready qualification in a C2 unit within the last 5 years.4) Three years’ practical experience operating military simulation training devices.5) Must have the minimum of a current Secret Security Clearance.

The Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) Training Center is a critical part of our organization that helps train Air Battle Managers, Weapons Directors, and Mission Systems Operators on Command and Control in a contested environment. Simulator Operators play a vital role in Initial Qualification Training, Mission Qualification, and Continuation Training for all crew members associated with the Battle Coordination Center by simulating various aircraft roles – fighter pilot, strike asset, aerial refueling asset, transport asset, land-based defense systems, and adversary air and ground agencies.
